Once again before its announcement time I’ll write about this slider. The G705 or Kumiko.
The front part of G705 utilised glossy material, the screen is under the same piece of plastic as a whole front. The back of the phone is matte plastic while the side of the phone using chrome material which applied to the side buttons (volume roker and camera key) as well. The earpiece place next to video calling camera and light sensor is on another side. There is a Play/Pause key on the top of the phone doubled as shorcut to access last played track from music player. The 3.2 Mega Pixel camera is on the back with LED Photo Light and Video Red Light on both sides of the camera lens. The fast port is place at the very top of right side of the phone and there’s a M2 logo on the same side. The way of open the battery cover is interesting, there is a switch place at the bottom part of the phone to lock the cover. Under the cover is femiliar BST-33 battery and on the side you’ll find M2 slot (yes, you have to remove the battery cover before do anything with the card). The mouthpiece is on the left of the keyboard. Typing on G705 is not too bad with good size buttons and well distinguished between them (the keyboard using different approach from C905 and F305). When you slide the phone up, you’ll notice the resemblance pattern of the speaker at the back of slide up part of the phone in matte material.
and here are some stuffs about G705 that I didn’t cover last time
- Light Sensor
- HSUPA (with secondary camera for video calling only)
- UMA Support

Hi mate. Any idea on whether this has only UMA and no WiFi web-browsing? Or does it have both? Cheers!
Oliver
Keep in mind that this is G for Generation Web. The device is made for using the web, it is the internet minded device. So I think you know the answer now if not this is a hint even Shiho has the ability to browse the web using its wi-fi connection and C905 is not even an internet minded device.
Yes true, but I was thinking of the G502 which is also a generation web phone, yet it has no WiFi. Only HSDPA. Anyway, thank you for confirming that for me.
Sooo its no touch screen then?
