OLED screen for touch screen handset in 2009?

The rumours about a forthcoming, top of the range, mobile phone appearing from Sony Ericsson in 2009 seem to be gathering pace. The latest news regards the quality of the screen that is reported to be in line for the new design. The handset, which will apparently be touch screen phone with a high specification and OLED display spanning 3in. 

The latest variation in screen technology, OLED has, thus far, been too expensive to produce in mass market terms. However, such a screen would have immense benefits. To begin with, it doesn’t need backlighting which means it features dramatically less power to run making any phone run longer on a single charge. OLEDs are also brighter, can hold more colours and are faster. 

Other reported features for the new mobile phone apparently include Wi-Fi and a browser for Internet-related interaction. 

Reports from the Mobilewhack website say that the new phone may make an appearance or at least be part of an announcement via Sony Ericsson at the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show which is only around a month away.

Sony Ericsson is planning to introduce us a special bicycle holder for phones. Sony Ericsson has made it specially for active people. In my personal opinion, it will be the best holder for waterproof C702 Cyber-shot. Note: holder from Sony Ericsson has another design, than holder on my picture.

Sony Ericsson made new version of T303 exclusive for T-Mobile. It is T303 Daisy Edition. New version of phone has original design, only the back has another style. Now you can find more “daisy”-flowers. T303 Daisy Edition comes with stylish pendant and beautiful black bag. It already available in T-Mobile stores in UK.

Good news! T700 is now available in Great Britain. A few days ago Sony Ericsson added T700’s page to UK official site. But it is not main news. As you may already know, a week ago T700 got new colour – Shining Black. And now I’am presenting to you two new colours for beautiful T700. They are: Gold on Red and Shining Gold. Two very similar colours: both have nice gold top, just one version has red bottom, and second colour has gold-black bottom. In my personal opinion, Shining Gold colour looks more beautiful. So now T700 has 6 colours, while T650 got only 4 colours.

Frances from France and what about Great Britain? Sony Ericsson prepared for us new phone. It’sBrittany - new Walkman clamshell. Brittany is W380’s successor with small external screen and three music buttons. Brittany has more higher specifications: 240×320 pixels screen, 3.2-Mp camera and, of coure, player Walkman 3.0. Brittany looks like cheap version of W980. Inside it has same design as W980. Main feature of this clamshell – many different colours. Brittany will be released at Q2, 2009..
